Canadian National Lacrosse Championships 2026

Six Canadian National Lacrosse Championships occur when the most successful teams from across the country compete for national titles. In 2026, championships will be taking place in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Calgary, Alberta;  St. John, New Brunswick; Whitby, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Edmonton, Alberta; Langley, British Columbia and Six Nations, Ontario.

JENNY KYLE CUP – July 27-29

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Named in honour after the late Jenny Kyle, for j2026, this national field championship was held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Jenny Kyle was a prominent leader in the establishment and growth of women’s field lacrosse, Sadly, she passed in away in February 2021.The Jenny Kyle Cup is the women’s field lacrosse championship which includes many of  the top U19 players. This event continues to be critical in establishing the future of women’s field lacrosse. Teams from the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan competed in the 2026 event. The Jenny Kyle Cup champion for 2026 is British Columbia who were undefeated and won the gold medal. Team Alberta won Silver and Team Ontario won bronze. 

CAROL PATTERSON CUP

August 9-15

Whitby, Ontario

Held in Whitby, Ontario, the Carol Patterson Cup is being held for the first time as a stand-alone event and is the national championship for Junior Women’s box lacrosse. 

Carol Patterson is regarded as one of the lynch pins of the development of international lacrosse and Canada being involved in the women’s field lacrosse game.  The Carol Patterson tournament brings together six of the top teams in Canada including Alberta, British Columbia, First Nations, Manitoba, Nova Scotia and Ontario. The 2026 championship team was British Columbia who defeated Alberta 8-7.

MINOR BOX NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

AUGUST 11-15

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA

As in 2025, Halifax was the host city for the Minor National championships in 2026. Separate competitions were held for female and male teams. The levels included U13; U15 and U17. 

MINTO CUP

August 16 – 23

Calgary, Alberta

  

The 2026 Minto Cup, Canada’s premier Junior “A” box  lacrosse championship, was hosted by the Calgary Raiders.

The four competing teams were; Alberta Raiders (host team); Calgary Mountaineers (Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League representative); Victoria Shamrocks (British Columbia champion) and St. Catharines Athletics (Ontario champion) . The host Raiders Lacrosse Club won the 2026 Minto Cup, winning the first Minto Cup in Alberta history.

FOUNDERS CUP

August 16-22

Saint John, New Brunswick

The 2026 Founders Cup was held in Saint John, New Brunswick.  Six teams from across Canada were part of the tournament.  The teams included 

•  Akwesasne Thunder (Tournament champions / Ontario/First Nations representative)

•  Seneca WarChiefs (First Nations Lacrosse League / Silver medalists)

•  Maverick Elite Lacrosse Club (Atlantic / Bronze medalists)

•  Port Coquitlam Saints (British Columbia)

•  Saint John Rapids (Host team)

•  Sackville Wolves (New Brunswick / East Coast) 

The Akwesasne Thunder won the 2026 Founders Cup.

MANN CUP

HAGERSVILLE, ONTARIO

SEPTEMBER 11-19

The Mann Cup is representative of the senior box lacrosse champions of Canada. The winner is determined with the best of seven series between the Ontario and Western champions. The 2026 Mann Cup will see the Six Nations Chiefs hosting the Coquitlam Adanacs. The Chiefs have won the previous three Mann Cup championships.
